OWE! I got bit....

BY MY OSCAR! all these animals and what bites me? One of the fish! I wasn't even putting my fingers into the water, I was feeding them and he literally jumped up and bit me on the finger. It didn't really hurt but it did draw a drop of blood! CRAZY go figure, maybe he is related to a piranha!:taz:

My gf's little cichlid(one of the smaller blue female/yellow male varieties) likes to chew on my finger if I put it in the water. It's funny, but she's not big enough to do more than tickle you with her jaws.

It's funny how stuff works. I never owned a cat, and I have owned over 60 snakes, yet I've been bitten by more cats than snakes. I once saw a lady at a local animal (reptile) show freaking out about all the snakes and lizards that people were holding or walking around with, then one of the maybe three dogs that were there on leashes bit her in the ankle.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine.

There was more than a drop of blood though, as they get bigger, this is more likely to occur.

He is actually pretyy big. I am surprised he didn't get me worse than he did. The Jack Dempsey is uually the one that will bite, but only if I am cleaning of arranging something and my hand is in the water.

it seems like oscars fall under three personality types. tough, wannabe-tough, and flat out pansy, lol. mine jump too, but i shake food from the can, i don't let them see flesh :p
