I'm starting to worry about hr 669...
I've posted the bill and plenty of links/info on other forums.
so far, plenty of people are SUPPORTING THE BILL.... no one is defending herpers.
anyone else having similar woes?

The general public has an unfounded hatred and fear for snakes and reptiles in general. I think that is why it's important to stress animals like hamsters and tropical fish, instead of pretending it's just an attack on snake owners. The reality is that the general population would be fine with banning snakes.

i've used all examples, people want to keep focusing on pet gorillas and rhinos.... sarcastic idiots...
i urge all to post threads on any site they can; even if you're put down or insulted, at least it's getting info out, and letting others know this is going on.

These people know exactly what they are doing and how to get things passed! Now, I'll admit, I probably agreed with some of the laws they supported, the ones that were aimed at ending cruelty to animals. However, it is no secret that they want all animal ownership to end, and I don't agree with that! I won't supply a link for this one, because it is dozens of places all over the internet, but here is one quote from Wayne Pacelle:

They outlawed quite a few species of animals, some of which are dangerous, and some of which are not. One example is poison arrow frogs. Here is info from the National Zoo:

Wow. Good thing the population in Connecticut now has nothing to fear from harmless captive poison arrow frogs.
WAKE UP! The time has come! There WILL be legislation passed. The only thing we can hope for is to make our voice heard loud and clear so that whatever legislation is passed will be well thought out, based on real facts instead of unreasonable fears, and will damage our hobby as little as possible.
