I'm not sure if Petsmart would carry it (don't shop there). You might check with a local pet shop that sell reptiles. You can also get it from online vendors such as The Bean Farm.

    NIX.

Like the stuff you use to treat head lice. Got to the local drug store and buy a bottle. I think it comes in 2 oz. bottles. I mix about 1 oz. per 1/2 gallon of water and put it in a spray bottle. I actually use one of those plant sprayers you can buy at Home Depot or Lowe's. Mix the Nix with water, shake thoroughly, place the snake in a different container with no newspaper or other bedding (a 6qt or 12 qt sterilite tub is perfect depending on the size of the snake) and then heavily spray the snake all over; above, beneath, etc.

Let it sit for about 20 minutes and then rinse the snake with tepid water. Don't neglect rinsing the head. They won't like it of course but you need to get the Nix off the snake. The mites will be dead. So will the eggs.

One word of caution. Make sure your snake isn't thirsty before Nixing. Give them a fresh bowl of water to drink from beforehand. If not, they may drink the Nix runoff which I doubt is good for them.

Repeat the process about three days later. Your mites will be gone. From the snake, that is. Don't forget the treath the cage and all the of materials in the cages, too.
