She killed it but she won't eat it.
We got a new BP three weeks ago and she hasn't eaten yet. I offer her a live mouse every Saturday (like her previous owner suggested) but she just ignores it. Then last Saturday she seemed very interested, following the mouse around the feeding box, but would never strike. I offered it to her again today and she struck, coiled and killed it very quickly, but she won't eat it.

It's been 45 minutes, what should I do?

I would just leave it in her cage and go away for a while and see if she eats it later.

I'm afraid if I wait too long the mouse will loose it's body heat (if it hasn't already) and she won't eat it for sure.

Leave it overnight. If its still there in the morning, you can toss it out.

Turn off the lights, and leave her be.

i had a hog that wouldnt eat, he would just kill. but i figured out that if i fed him right before lights out, it would be gone in the morning. then getting him over to f/t was easy, just left it half in, half out of his hide, and turned the lights off. next morning it was gone. hope this helps!
