If you breed a pastel boa to a normal will you get pastels?
Is it the same kind of genetics as in bp's?

Yes, but not like in BPs. It's a "polygenic" genetic. A grade of the pastel trait will pass down in variance to all the offspring. Some will get a lot of the "pastel" look and some will get little to none.
