Has anyone tried contacting Stewert or Colbert about this yet?
About HR669 that is. I remember reading somewhere that the majority of Americans get their news from sources such as these two. Honestly they probably report the news more accurately than any "real" news station. I can just see Colbert asking an animal rights activist how he should protect himself against his hamster.

I'm not sure, the talk radio thread might know though.

I hate the use of 'animal rights activist'. I'm one, but it's far different then the typical stereotype that people give it.
Most people generally don't agree with the abuse of animals. :gj:

I'm sorry, in the future I'll try to be specific. FWIW, when I say "animal rights activist" I'm thinking PETA, Green Peace or some other equally loony organization.

Who's to say that Colbert or Stewart would be on our side?

If they say something about snake owners releasing pythons and boas in the Everglades, it would probably be perceived as a reason to pass the bill, by their viewers.

yeaaaa, I couldn't ever see them taking the issue serious, or avoiding lampooning our side, and gaining us some really negative responses. You know how they like to exaggerate, and how few people actually get that. lol.

My thoughts as well... Could see it now "Sure we should let people own exotic snakes..." and then the clip of one of the obscure Sci-Fi channel snake movies or giant komodo dragons etc.

I think Jon Stewart even lampooned a snake story once...

john stewart has made comments on his show that florida is to blame for the "reptile invasion" and made jokes about it that are not in our favor. i would leave them out of this.....they will not help!
