Sounds good :gj: Don't forget you need something to measure the humidity of the cage with! Other then that you seem to have all the basics. How big is he/she going to be?

What type of thermometer do you have? If its a stick on ....Ditch it, and go with what llovelace suggested above. Also what type of top are you going to be using for the tank?

I agree with the posters above, you need to get at least one digital thermometer / hygrometer with probes. The humidity should be approximately 50 to 60 %. Depending on your humidity levels where you live, you may need to cover some, to most, of the top of your screen to reach these levels. Your hot spot should be around 92 F, and you cool side should be around 82 F. If you reach these temp and humidity levels, your ball pythons should be happy and healthy. You will eventually need to move him / her into a 20 long, and keep him / her in that enclosure its entire life.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

i would suggest getting a thermostat if you plan to use a UTH. I just recommend the herpstat to another poster in this forum and i live and die by this thing! If you need to control your UTH( which is a must) i strongly advise to pick up one of these babies.
