One Egg.
Is it common for Cresteds to lay one egg? Well mine did. My wife works for a vet so we took her in and had a x-ray, no second egg. All my other females have laid two eggs at a time.

Re: One Egg.
it happens on occasion, but it is not common.. usually with females in their first season from what I've read.

Re: One Egg.
Yeah it happens from time to time, but in my experience is most common toward the end of the season when the female is laying her last clutch or two. It can happen randomly at other times too though, so as long as your female is good breeding weight, healthy and has good calcium reserves it is likely nothing to worry about.

Re: One Egg.
Agreed, Ive had it happen a few times. Usually w/ 1st time breeder.

Re: One Egg.
My first time female (as of this year) recently laid only one egg also, no second one either. So I agree it's a first-time breeder thing ;)

Re: One Egg.
I have one egg in the incubator tub from a first timer girl too. :gj:
Have you candled it yet? Best of luck for a healthy little hatchling!

Re: One Egg.
I have candelled it and it is very pink inside. It was the last female of three to lay eggs.So i have five eggs in the incubator all of which came within a week. The first two clutches, the eggs have already started getting bigger. The one egg still looks fine and show start getting bigger in the next week or so. Hope all five hatch and i get alot more eggs this summer..
