    Morph Prices at Expo
Generally, morphs are out of my price range, but I may be going to an expo next fall, and I'd love another BP.

Any general estimates on prices for the following morphs at an expo would be appreciated!

    spider
    axanthic
    pastel
    super pastel
    pinstripe
    mojave
    lesser
    albino
    high contrast albino

good question. I'm personally predicting a fairly surprising drop in base morph prices during the next 12 months, due to increased supply and trouble with the economy.

While prices are falling, and probably demand is too, I still think demand for top notch examples of all morphs will still be there. Too many people think "Ooooooh!! A pastel for $100!!! I'll take it!!" when that pastel is a crappy example, and will brown out so much it will just look like a nice normal as an adult. Cheap ≠ quality, and quality isn't cheap, so while prices will fall, top notch specimens I think will still retain some value (maybe less, but still have value)

But here's just my guess anyways...

    spider - $200-300
    axanthic - $300-500
pastel -$100-300 (I think a killer pastel will still fetch some money. Too many mediocre ones out there.)
    super pastel - $500+
    pinstripe -$300
    mojave -$200-300
    lesser - $500
    albino -$400-500
    high contrast albino - $400-500

I'm real interested in the trend with the price of bees this year and the following 3 years. It seems many people who get into breeding are shooting for bees for their first combo.

I think a lot of people bred for Bees. I have 5 beeXpastel eggs due to hatch in 2 weeks (yeah!). My bee was busy this year, I put him with 4 other girls as well...

I generally agree with this but I think the initial price would be higher, you'll probably have to bargain with some people to get some of those prices though (Like the Axanthics)

I went to a show two weeks ago and was mainly looking for a pastel or spider for my collection. The 08 pastels I saw were in the $200 to $250 price range. The 08 spiders I saw were anywhere from $300 to $400.

Maybe but either on KS or fauna a couple of days ago they had an adult proven male TSK axanthic for $800 shipped so a '09 for ~$400 doesn't seem that off. And I remember seeing them towards the end of last year selling in the $500 range so they're definitely falling, but you could very well be right...

Prices are indeed falling, but the wonderful thing about that is, you have more room to invest in quality ball pythons if and when the market demand goes up once more.

That will depend on the line of Axanthic, Joliff and TSK for example are not as popular as VPI Axanthics.
