Pics and a request for some good thoughts
Below is Lupin (racing name Pin Oak Preston). I foster for a greyhound rescue group and this guy was my first foster and I ended up adopting him. He comes with me to every education event we do and does an excellent job of showing people what great pets ex-racers are. Lupin is currently at the vet, under sedation getting some x-rays done. All sighthounds are very sensitive to anasthetic (sp?) so even a sedation is a risk. If anyone can spare some good thoughts that he wake up safely, I would appreciate it.

Might as well throw out a shameless plug; To anyone is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, our group is the sole adoption outlet for the race track in Harligen. Racing season has ended so we are getting a flood of dogs in. If you ever wanted to adopt, foster or even just come to a kennel and help walk/bathe greyhounds; this is your chance. You can PM me if interested.

Awww. What a beautiful boy, wait.......yes, boy. I'm sure everything will work out ok. I'm hoping anyway. I'm so happy you were able to give him a happy home. If I were closer I would love to help you out. :(

Sending positive thoughts your way... I am a proud mama of a retired racer myself. Tiny had to be anesthetized last year to fix a nasty cut, and thankfully the vet was very understanding. I was worried about putting her under, but the vet said not to worry, that sighthound anesthesia sensitivity is well understood by just about every vet nowadays. That made me feel better... Figured I'd share :)

Hope to hear good news about his x-rays and the anesthesia!
