Its been a good day...

Not only did I achieve BP veteran status, but I also documented my first official lock. Also did a little field herping with my son, finding a red-back salamander, which we brought home last night so he could show everyone else and then released back to its home today. all in all, a good day. :D Here are some pics of the herping.. I already posted the lock. :D

thanx everyone. hope everyone else had as good a day. although today didn't start so great.. overslept, had to drive my son to school, he was late, came home and there was an invasion of ants in my kitchen (ugh I hate bugs!!!) and its snowing. :rolleye2: and the locked pair are no longer locked, but looks like he's trying to lock up again.. :D life is weird sometimes

Ya know, that set of pictures brought back a TON of childhood memories. I used to spend hours after school searching the woods behind our house looking for any and all reptiles, much to my mother's chagrin. I used to find those little salamanders all the time and tried my best to keep one as a pet. Of course after losing a couple I learned they were best left in the wild and as such, I would hold them for a few minutes, take notes of the different stripe widths and so forth and then go ahead and release them back into their own little worlds. Little did I know then what life held for me now! I have always been fascinated with reps of all kinds as is now evidenced by my growing collection.
Anyways, thanks so much for posting your adventures. You brought a huge smile to my face and broguth back so many wonderful childhood memories. Of course there was that Centipede bite I got one afternoon that wasn't very pleasurable.... :weirdface
