    wierd snake
My snake acts weird. ever since I have got my spider he has a bully attitude, kinda mean. But thats not my problem. You know how when your bp's wonder around there tubs sometimes. They lift there head up to the top trying to smell around and find a way out. Well my spider does that, but when he does it he does like backward circles with his head. Like a slow motion head back flip. Not just once but a few times. Also when he is turned away from me and he is all balled up and I reach in for him (remember I said he is a little bully) he always stares at me like he's in bite mode. But he doesn't turn around he just flips his head al the way backwards. Kinda like, imagine you looking at your computer screen then you look up at the sealing then look behind you. All in one slow motion with out turning your head left or right. Is this normal. He is only about 4 months old. Also he never uses his hide. I thought it might be too big for him so i stuffed some newspaper in there to snug it up a bit. But still he's never in his hide.

Sorry for the long post, but there is alot of stuff this guys doing.

Spiders are known for having a wobble to their heads, maybe this is just another sign of that. As for the hide issue maybe try putting multiple sizes of hides in there and see where he ends up, I'm trusting its not a temperature issue.

It's a spider did you do some research on spiders before acquiring him?

Do a research here on spider, wobbling, spinning and you will find tons of info :gj:

I did do research and I could not find anything about movement / personality traits. But the breeder I got him from said that spiders are a lil' weird. But didn't go into detail. Thank you guys, I appreciate the help!!!!!

oh sorry one more thing. Are there any type of illness or pains that they can acquire down the road, from wobbling?

Spiders may have a harder time striking at prey depending on the severity of their spinning/wobbling.

Other than that, no other real problems...

once I got him and noticed he was doing that(wobbles) I thought it might be an issue with him striking at the prey, so I started feeding him f/t. He's not that bad but now I'm worried if I should breed him or just keep him as a good pet. I don't know?????? Either way I'll be happy!!! :)

I do not think that the wobbling will cause any problems with breeding. I have read that all spiders do it, its only the severity of the wobble that differs between the pythons.
