gecko temp questions.

My gecko is in a 10 gallon tank. I am using a UTH for the heat source. The warm side is 90 degrees. My cold side is usually in the mid to lower 70's. is that ok? does the cold side temp even matter as long as the warm side is right?

My gecko likes his at 88*, any warmer and he won't go in his warm hide. Cool side 76*
