    Helpppppppppp! Mbd?
Today i caught my dragon practically hanging herself between a piece of wood that goes up to her perch and the side of the enclosure she is in. I was in the room while it happened. I heard her struggling jumped off the pc, and pulled her up outta the mess she was in. She was stuck for about 5 seconds. I watched her closely for a few minutes and didn't really notice anything strange. But an hour later i noticed her beard/throat region was all swollen up and I touched it to see if it would go down but it's really stiff. I saw her eat a roach, but I don't think she can swallow that great because an hour after eating it, I heard struggling again and ran to the rescue. She was pretty much throwing the roach up and having a seizure. I saw her having seizures 3 times within the past 3 hours. I have an e-mail sent into a local vet that specializes in herps, so I will most likely go there tomorrow and see if there is anything they can do to help her out. She has a powersun bulb and i dust her greens and feeder insects with calcium w/ vit. d3. I also give her a f/t pinkie once in a blue moon. I was not home last night, but my parents fed her greens. Last time i fed her, 2 days ago, she showed no signs of mbd. I do not know if she had maybe hidden signs of it before the hanging incident today or if maybe the hanging incident triggered her throat to get sore and swell up. I just don't know. She has never had a loss of appetite other than right before she layed eggs about 3 weeks ago. Not saying she has a loss of appetite now since shes still drinking water and going for feeder insects. Plz help me out if I can do anything for her for the time being before I go to the vet tomorrow. Thnx.

Oh and this is what she looks like right now :(

anybody awake? i'm really worried about her :(

also forgot to add...she did have bubbles coming outta her mouth as well. and then there was also a popping/snapping noise when she breathed, but that went away after about 30 seconds.might have been from drinking water i gave her.

Its not necessarily MBD, some just have seizures like any other animal. I would probably take any high perches out. I have seen beardies have seizures before. See if she acts normaly other than the seizure episodes. I would have the vet check her.

it'll take a lot of time to take it out because its screwed in. its only 9 inches up. i re-adjusted the piece of wood that goes up to it so it doesnt have a small gap in it so that she can get stuck between it again. she's never had any seizures before today. she's about 4 years old.

If the greens weren't washed properly, it could be food contamination (pesticides). It could also be a Respiratory Infection. I'd take her into the Vet asap.

Good luck and I hope she's okay.
