    Het axanthic marker?
    Hi,

I posted pics of my little holdback normal female on another forum and a couple of people mentioned they thought the dots either side of her nose were markers for het axanthics.

I had never heard of this so thought I would ask you guys what you thought about it.

Neither of the parents had the dots and, as far as I am aware, both are CF.

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the spots a while ago.

Ya know....it may be true....I have a 100% het TSK axanthic from John Dague here on the forum...and he exhibits those 'dots'....tho I my guy looks like he has a mustache. :P

This photo may not show it....but you can kinda see how he is much darker around the mouth...I'll try to get you a closeup later!

Just a random thing. Most refer to them as booger balls.

I actually have several of those. A few are het Hypo, One is a het Pied and most are (as far as I know) Normal. And yes, they're called booger balls.

The only marker I've heard about for het Axanthic is that Pastels het axanthic have a distinctly different look to them then normal Pastels, they're lighter in color.
