This is one of our girls! "Rita"

Rita is a Nile Monitor!
She is good for a niles,she hates everyone and that is o.k. i guess.
Hey someone has to love her,i gather it will be me..

I was giving her a bath here in this pic which i like to do for her from time to time.
Now trying to get out and into the tub is another story!
If you look closer at her head you will see a heart shape in her pattern.
Tell me that is not pretty cool.

She is beautiful, although looks like a handful... And I can definitely see the heart! It has a perfect shape... very cool.

Yes she is one not to be trusted.
Likes to hiss and do the famous tail whip,she leaves welps on my arms.
But hey,she is our girl non the less and if this is the worse she happens to do,then i can not complain.

YAY!! Someone else who understands snarky monitors!! You love them, and at best, they tolerate you without trying to kill you... too often.
Baths are great for them too. It's a lot of work for me to soak my Moggie, and it's been detrimental to the tub.. and the rest of the bathroom in general, but it's wonderful for the lizards.

Yes she is a handfull!
But hey she is what she is,you cant hate her for that.
I try with her,and understand she will never be trually tame,but she has her tender moments as i call them where she gives me little trouble to move her around.
But those are far and few in between.
I kinda like the attitude,if she did not give me any,i think i would worry.
