Officially introducing Xena my little Black Pastel warrior
When Xena hatched last September she was only 42 grams while everybody else in the clutch started to eat Xena never did, weeks went by and still nothing so as she was down to 32 grams I attempted to assist her but it was a no go either, so I had to force fed her for that first meal (nothing really enjoyable), the following week I assisted her and did so until February 5th the day she finally took her first meal on her own.

While Xena is 3 times smaller than her clutch mate (my other black pastel holdback) she has gone a long way and has now a bright future ahead of her, additionally I am sure she will catch up in no time this girl is now a little pig since she has learned to eat on her own.

She is just a stunner Deb!!!

Now that she is eating on her own I do not doubt that she will eat you out of house and home (remember Tuesday was 92 g at almost six months of age when I got her - girl just passed 700g!).

She really is just a stunning example of a black pastel. Glad you got her on track. She pipped in the right house. :)

I had to go back and look again but I definitely see what you're talking about now.
