I have few questions to ask...
Ok I have been searching the forums for a couple day and I still do not have a definite answer for the questions bubbling in my head so i figured i would ask. I am planning on building a reptile enclosure and I have pretty much all i need to know minus this stuff.
1. If I use flexwatt heat tape can I jus put it under the cypress mulch substrate that I want to use?
2. Will making the rear wall out of peg board (i think thats what its called) loose too much humidity?
3. Where is a good place to buy flexwatt heat tape?
4. Is glass better that Plexiglas and if so why?
5. Do the repti glo backing infrared lights also give off UVB rays?
6. How should i position fluorescent tubes so that my snake wont mess them up?
if I have anything else I will be sure to ask. Thanx for the help in advance.

ok the best i can do is answer a couple of your questions!!
1 no you do not want to put the flexwatt in the enclouser it can burn the snake it can get too hot.
2. the peg board imo would be fine you can always put tape on the holes to bring the humidity back up
3.as far as where to buy heat tape go to RBI Rich is the best in customer service!!!!
Hope this helps!!!

1. If I use flexwatt heat tape can I jus put it under the cypress mulch substrate that I want to use?
~~When people use flex inside an anclosure, they usually cover it with some
sort of tile or linolium.
2. Will making the rear wall out of peg board (i think thats what its called) loose too much humidity?
~~ It would probably depend on where you live, imo if using the peg board
you could use the press & seal to cover some of it if humidity becomes
an issue
3. Where is a good place to buy flexwatt heat tape?
~~Beanfarm.com or reptilebasica.com
4. Is glass better that Plexiglas and if so why?
~~I think it's a preference thing, plexi won't break
5. Do the repti glo backing infrared lights also give off UVB rays?
~~Dunno, don't use it
6. How should i position fluorescent tubes so that my snake wont mess them up?
~~At the top of the enclosure

make sure you put spacers in for air flow. hopefully someone else who has done this can chime in :)
Re: I have few questions to ask...
i thought that was one of the advantages of flexwatt was that it didnt need to breathe...oh well spacers it is. Anyone else?
