stupid mice

i got this one tank full of females and they are not smart enough to drink from a water bottle! im just about ready to feed them all off! has anyone else got stupid mice

Were they drinking out of a bottle or a dish when you got them and are you sure the ball in the sipper is light enough for them to move? I've had some foster rats that did not know how to use the bottle but after putting a little bit of baby food on the sipper, they were quick enough to figure it out.

Mice don't come out of the womb knowing how to use a water bottle, they have to be taught by watching another mouse or by a human showing them; doesn't make them stupid.

Not stupid, but I do have a gay one...the female comes up and licks him and he runs :8:

no they have always had a water bottle they were born here and every time i change it takes them about 3 or 4 hours to figure it out again. its not the bottle either ive used the same bottles for along time

Mine though he was a girl and never mated with my girls. I gave up and killed them off.
