    Yellow Anaconda update
Of course this was my first *pet* snake ever which I got her on October 29. She was born October 15. I spoil her so much because she spends more time out of the tank then she does in the tank. It's really hard to get pictures of her also because she stays curled up around my hand or in my hands if I cup them. Anyway's I don't like to bother my snakes when their in the shedding process, but I had to change the water in her waterbowl and she came up to me while I was in there so I took her out and got 2 quick pictures.

Oh yea, I've had her for a while now, i got her Oct 29, 2008. She's a sweet heart & an angel. I let her sleep out her tank sometimes, and shell usually end up curled on my chest, or shell end up between my shoulders & neck. My other snake is a White Lip Python if you check hte general python section. She's not headshy at all, she loves to be rubbed under her head, and she likes it more when i put my face over her head and blow warm air out, she loves that, or when I kiss her on top her head. I've been told by several people it's the calmest snake they've ever seen lol.

Alot of people have mixed say-so on this topic, the males typically stay in single digits, 7-9feet. Females however go in double digits 10-13ft. If I remember correctly one of your biggest ones found were 14 foot, but if you have one thats 11-12ft then you're doing great.

    nice Anaconda... ;)

I have a 3 year old female dwarf retic who's quite "charming"; she gets restless if she doesn't receive attention (aka, handling). She pushed her cage badly several times when I reduced handling to thrice a week. Because of her "needs", my friends jokingly called her "my clingy reptilian girlfriend"; she's bet. 5 - 6 feet long and is more content coiled around my wrist/forearm and any attempt to put her back in the cage makes her climb further up as if she doens't want to stay in the cage and would rather hang out with me. I once took a nap with her and she was content on sleeping on my chest and when I woke up, she's still on the same spot. Even during shed, her disposition is consistent.

Do you have the same experience with your anaconda?
