    Ball pythons and color...
Hey my first question is, I know ball pythons do not have great eyesight but I wondered if they can see the light/dark shades in colors.

My reason for asking is because I'm thinking about switching from repti-bark to aspen bedding and I just wondered if ball pythons don't feed as 'camouflaged' on a very light colored substrate.

I think that so long as their hides are the right size they'll be more than satisfied with their substrate. I used repti-bark for awhile and am now using aspen, haven't noticed a change in their behavior.. Of course I'd have to see them first, right? :P

I use desert snow and thats white! :D i dont think the color really matters as long as you have some nice dark hides for the snake.
