Where the heck?

Ok so Ive lived in NC for well over a year now and Ive always been trying to find a Farancia erytrogramma otherwise known as a rainbow snake Has anyone on here ever encountered one If so do you have any tips on where to find them I have done a lot of research and I have never had any luck

I guess I am not the only one having no luck catching these I think instead of being called rainbow snakes they should be called Ahab's snakes cause they are harder to find than a white whale
