    cool, very nice. so dumb newbie question - does the heat tape affect the plastic of the water bottles?

    Nice and clean cooler..
    I made one.. it worked great but it wasn't as clean as yours.

    - I am assuming the thermostat should keep the heat tape cool enough to prevent from melting the bottles of water.

    The tape won't get that hot on the thermostat.

    oh ok i see, nice. how do you keep oxygen circulating in there? do you just open it everyday for a while or is it enough ventilation from where the electric wires go in? and i'm guessing once you mist it holds humidity super well. just asking because i was planning to make one out of a cooler with aquarium heaters for the water... i was contemplating getting a polystyrene/styrofoam one so i could poke holes in the top or just stick with a plastic one like yours
