    Babysitting for awhile
Well my story begins with my parents not allowing any snakes in their house (as some of you know I rent a house with my fiancee so obviously this story isn't about me). Well my bro still lives at my parents house with his fiancee and they kept going to the exotics store that Ashtin and I get our herps from. His fiancee fell in love with a little lavender stripe corn but couldn't get it because of my parent's rules. A few weeks ago I told them that if they got snakes that they could house them at our house and come see them whenever they wanted. Well last night at Emerald Bay she got to playing with it and kept saying that she could get him but didn't want to yet...well after we left she found a $100 bill in the parking lot (lucky snot...). Needless to say she waltzed back in, bought the snake and some of the stuff I didn't have yet for it, went to home depot and got a $0.99 tub for it and brought it over. So without further ado I give you her little lavender stripe cornsnake (no name yet)

VERY COOL!! That's very nice looking snake, but it looks more like a ghost stripe than a lavender stripe to me (lavenders don't have the yellow that this guy has), are you 100% sure its a lavender stripe? I hope they didn't pay $400 for a ghost stripe...

    Aw lucky! Very cute snake.

I've been trying to do the same with my sister and a BRB with hopes she'd lose interest and it would become mine! :D

My guess is its probably a ghost stripe then. Regardless, its a VERY nice example, looks like it may be a pastel ghost at that!!

The pastel ghosts have "peachy" tones to their color - especially around the neck region. They have a softer look to them. If you go to www.cornsnakes.net and then look at the pastel motleys, you can get a sense of what I mean, then you can also look at regular ghosts to compare.

I went and looked up pics of one last night and could see some similarities in the patel ghost and Pomona (that's the snake's name). How much would a pastel ghost stripe run anyways?
