i have a ? about genetics...
my ? is if you breed a ball that has more then one gene in them say like pastel yellowbelly does the one with both genes pass both of the genes since the offspring gets one from the mom and one from the dad like is the pastel YB consider one gene...or does the pastel YB just pass on the pastel or yellowbelly or can the offspring get both genes from the 2 banger...thanks in advance:gj:
Re: i have a ? about genetics...
Yes, you can get a pastel/YB, or a pastel, or a YB, or a normal. I think that's what you were asking?
Hope this helps.
Re: i have a ? about genetics...
yes that's what i was wondering....Thanks
Re: i have a ? about genetics...
In a pastel yellowbelly x normal breeding you would get(averages)
25% pastel yellowbelly
25% pastel
25% yellowbelly
25% normal
If the other parent was anything but normal it starts to get more complicated.
Hope that helps... possible percentages sure helped me with genetics:bow:

Someone else just asked a very similar question. Here is a link to my reply, which I think might help you also:
