    OK so I am switching to cypress mulch I am mildly concerned about about splinters has anyone had that problem with it?

    Not that I am aware of.... We kept all of our snakes on it.

    I just wanted to make sure Iv never used it before but its cheap and apparntly holds humidity better so I figured Id give it a shot

    They'll be fine. These are wild animals after all, if they were that kinda sensitive to mulch I don't think they woulda lasted this long.

    i loved cypress mulch. way more attractive than paper. the snakes seemed to love it as well.

    i have heard of people experiencing issues w/ spores or what not, i never did. but some say that you should soak the cypress in dilluted bleach to kill of the spores.
