Another question!

I just got my snake about a week ago and ive been starting to handle him and he is getting us to me. but when i move my hands and he sees my hand move he shoots back in defense and then will come back out of it. if i keep handling him, will he stop doing that because it makes me nervous when he does that because i keep thinking he is going to strike but he has not yet.

the words that are bleeped out are not bad words lol i dont know why it did that??

Not sure what got censored out of your post, but I think I get the gist of it.

Simply put, that's what Ball Pythons do. Don't start peeing your self until it starts moving its heads at you....real fast...with its mouth open....but that will happen so fast you won't have much time to react anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone gets bit sooner or later. I have one right now that bites me every time I open the tub.

Many BPs are very head shy, meaning don't make any fast movements around its head. Some get over it with time, some don't. It's just how they are. He will get more used to you handling him over time, but don't rush it.

i remember mine yawned in my lap and i about hopped over the couch in fright. they can be a little scary when youo first acquire it. i learned to handle mine a cpl of times a week and we get along fine......:banana:

This might not work for you, but worked for me. Mine used to do that too, so I just started handling her more frequently. While I was handling her I would also stroke her neck, about 2in from her head and work my way up to the head. You'll notice there usually very touchy there. For some reason by doing that, and handling her all the time she now doesn't care if you move by her, touch her head, nothing. Very tame snake now. I dont know if this will help , just sharing my expierence.
