Feeding multiple

I've heard from many people on here, if your feeding multiple mice feed on the same day. I've been told to feed the first then 15-20 mins later offer the second.

A day ago i fed my 4 year old female 1 of 3 mice but when i tried to offer her the second she acted like she was going to strike but then just completely lost interest. Last week i did this and she did the same so i fed her the other mice the following two days, successfully. But this time (today would be the following day, she ate a mouse yesterday) she acted like she was going to strike but then just lost interest. She has been fed F/T her whole life and just started eating live (just an FYI)

My question is, why isn't she taking the mice all in the same day? I know she has the hunger and capacity to do so. AND im wondering why she didn't take the mouse today. The mouse i fed her yesterday was TINY. I know she must be hungry.

It almost seems to me as if she doesn't like all the movement of the live food, and is intimidated, yet she is big enough to eat small rats. (I could be COMPLETELY wrong)

My husbandry is all correct, in case someone was going to ask. I've spent time perfecting it over the past month that i've been reading and and asking questions on this forum.

Do you weigh your food and your snake? If so, how much does the snake weigh and how much does each of your prey items weigh?

I'm not sure, I probably should have found out before i posted. I'm just going off what she has eaten in the past compared to what she is settling for now.

Just making sure: She has eaten multiple f/t mice in the past, but has not taken rats, correct?

I do have a ~900g male who is at the point where he can eat multiple mice or small rats. But he won't. He will only take one mouse a week... always refuses the second... and won't touch rats. Maybe yours is a picky eater? I could be wrong on this...

Very interesting post, Thank you. Your male sounds somewhat similar to my female. Only thing is she has taken multiple mice, on the days following the first. She is just coming out of a fast so that could be why she is taking it slow. I don't think she is a picky eater because before she fasted her feeding response was VERY consistent every week. But, I guess we'll have to see.
