Re: Where's Waldo? "fires"
Great color match! Very nice looking snakie!
Re: Where's Waldo? "fires"
I don't know if you can answer this question but I'll ask it anyway. How much did you pay for your fires? I see them ranging anywhere from 400-800 USD each and some even more if they're weighing in at 400grams plus. Yes, I know there are multiple variables in determining the cost or should I say pricing of a snake such as bloodline, pattern, color, sex, and demand, but in your experience of looking for fires whether it be through breeders/shows/classifieds what did you find or what do you think is reasonable? But then again you could be a gunslinger and money is of no object. If you want the snake, you'll get the snake. Thanks in advance.
Re: Where's Waldo? "fires"
My Fire was $500 and is a male. He is 158grams. He is also from a proven line of fires. He is also a poss DH. I pick mine up from a local breeder (friend) along with a few other BPs that day. He gets more then that from other people and sells his females for $800. Every time I look at my fire I see something different he is awesome. Fires will make any morphs look just that much better i think. They are a really valuable BP to have.
Re: Where's Waldo? "fires"
Thanks Reps. I couldn't check out your Youtube video(bad link), but I guess like everything else, if something is good, it's worth paying for. Just trying to see how far my dollar will go in this wonderful economy and job market. Maybe in the near future, I'll just buy a very good pastel, name it "Fire" and try to convince myself that since I'm not going for black eyed white snakes, this is the next best thing:banana:.
Re: Where's Waldo? "fires"
These were purchased along with 1.1 jungle pastels.....but I am guessing with the deal I was given for the 4 animal purchase they came out at an avg of 250 per animal for the 1.1 fire and 1.1 jungles......not sure if I helped ya out with your question...:)
Re: Where's Waldo? "fires"
Thanks Kysenia. It actually helps a lot! It appears to me that if you're willing to spend somewhere in the $800 and up range and a breeder is looking to really move some snakes, than you're bound to come upon a deal that will be difficult to refuse. And just maybe...if you're lucky, you'll also be fortunate to get some great looking snakes as you did instead of those charity/donation snakes. Now, now....before I hurt anyones' feelings or start a poo flinging contest, let me just say this by clearing the air: I have nothing against those snakes because they're all beautiful in their own way. However, let's face it, when selective breeding comes into play there is actually a little match making involved. If not, everyone would buy the first normal or whatever morph they see. :bolt:
