Need your honest opinion: Is this a Cinnamon ball python?
Need your honest opinion: Is this a Cinnimon ball python? It doesn't look like a Cinnamon to me, but what do you guys think?

The first couple pictures it appears to be a cinny, but the last one has too much black to be a cinny.

It is less obviously a normal than most of the "is this snake something" type posts. I think it would make a good dinker project. Don't think it is a cinnamon though.

Cinnies can be tough sometimes. They can vary a little bit in appearance. Here's a pic of my male cinny for comparison.

long story short, those pictures came from this guy on craigslist,

    the link is http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/pet/1084728721.html

I asked several of my friends and they all told me it's a normal with a reddish tone on it. I talked to this guy and he is 101% sure it is a 100% cinny with 100% het for pied, I have owned cinny and black pastel before, but those pictures doesn't look like a cinny to me. this is why I want you guys' opinion.

Does not look like a cinny to me. Could be a dinker. I would definitely not trust it being het for pied.

The first few photos are interesting, but I think that's mainly because of the lighting. I don't think it's a cinnamon, not really even that close. But it is an interesting looking snake... I wouldn't pay more then a hundred bucks for it if it were a female. Less if it's a male.

    'Black Pastel Phaze Cinny'? What?

Obviously the guy doesn't really know what he's talking about.. I would wager the pied talk is a stretch as well.

Def not a Cinny, here's a pic of the boy I'm getting next week for reference. :D

    Hi,

I don't think it's a cinny either - and if he is wrong about that then the het pied is unlikely to prove out either. And if neither of those holds true what are the chances it is a female?

But ask him for a nice clear shot of its belly pattern - that should be fairly conclusive I would have thought.

Oh and you might want to take a look at this thread and see if you spot anything familiar. :D

But it is a very nice looking snake so you could do a lot worse for an animal to work into other morphs etc. For the right price I'd be happy with it.
