I guess they can't all go like clockwork...
This time my BP couldn't find the rat's head once she was done squeezing. Frustrated, she gnawed on its front paw, then its back paw, then its butt, then its TAIL, all the while flinging it over every inch of her tank! Talk about playing with food...
Finally she let go, I removed it and cleaned it of all the stuck aspen (since by now the rat is covered in snake saliva) and set it back on the paper towel I always put there for feeding. Not so much as a thank-you from her, she just looks at me, grabs the head, and eats like she knew how to do it all along.
