Flexwatt in a home made rack?
After you install the flexwatt into your new rack does the heat ever swell or buckle the shelves? What is the best wood to build a rack from? I was planning to buy a rack, but after seeing the racks on here, I may try building my own.

To everyone who has a home made rack on here. Great job! :gj:

I dont know much but but it seems like almost every rack that is home made is either made with just regular 2x4's or particle board with the melamine coat. I just finished mine now am trying to figure out which thermostat to use with my flexwatt so i can test everything out... then I will be done :)

    Hi George,
Welcome to the board. I saw your rack. Very nice. :gj: Is it finished yet? I'm interested in seeing the finished pics. Are you going to the Raleigh show in May? We'll be there. It'll be a two hour drive for us, we're in Salisbury, NC.

Ill be there in May...not sure which day, but I will get there...LOL...The rack is almost done, Im not in any rush or it would have been done by now.....Its actually pretty light weight, especially for it being on wheels...its real easy to move around...Ill shoot you a pic or two when it gets done...
