    Hello,

I'm picking up a ball python very soon, how long should I wait to offer her first meal?

    Thanks,
    Alex

i waited one week and she responded very well. i've fed her two times now and she is doing fine. give it at least a week of alone time and if it isn't acting stressed, go for it.

You can try the first couple days after being settled in, but don't be dissapointed if it doesn't eat.

General consensus is a week or so.

    Re: Quick Question
A week of settling in time is generally recommended. The most important part is to be sure you are providing a stress free environment. Make sure your temps & humidity are spot-on BEFORE you bring home the snake. And, hard as it is, avoid handling except the minimum required for cage maintenance until your BP has established a good eating routine in her new home.
