New boa owner. So some newbie questions.
First of all i have to say i love my boa, she is a 6 week old redtail. Now my question is how large would an average RTB be at 6 weeks because mine is about to break two feet, and i read that most reach three feet after a year. So i found her length slightly odd. Is that a normal size boa? Also, i have no idea whether she is a BCI or BCC  i was wondering if i posted some images tomorrow(camera is out of batteries today) could someone identify it for me?

    Thanks in advance:D!

quite honestly...Both Bci and BCC can break 7ft but BCC is the larger of the two...If it's a true Red Tail then it's most likely BCC but many varieties of boas are called "redtail" but most are not true red tails... hope thats not too confusing...hope that helps

I highly doubt you have a BCC, probably a BCI especially if you got it from a pet store. I'd say 99.9% of the ones sold at the chain stores are the mass imported and sold BCI hatchlings. They aren't really THAT small when they are born length wise. I'm learning this stuff too but I also already have a BP and from my experience with her plus from what I've read about boas they can top 4 feet at the end of the year. They'll get MUCH bigger around also. Just feed appropriately sized prey once a week and let nature take its course.
