    October-March Fast is Over
I am officially calling it over. Pandora, our 1000ish gram female bp ate her first ASF (I assume) a week and a half ago, "ending" her fast that started in October. I wasn't willing to call it over on one feeding, but she just took another one tonight. Not only is the fast over, she only took about 5 seconds to eat the little bugger, with no pre-scenting.

I am happy. Now if only our ASF's would start producing better. Our new food came in today, and I am going to put another breeding group together.

    Congrats. :gj:

I hate the winter fasts... I end up with too many babes, then suddenly NOT NEAR ENOUGH!!!

They make it hard to plan don't they?

I think he's talking about feeder animals. :gj:

I think the winter fast is over for my snakes too... my balls are eating like champs, and FINALLY my JCP started eating (rats) again. :D

    Good deal, good deal.

I would really love it if Pandora would eat rats, but I don't mind having the ASF's. I would not mind them a lot less if they would throw me some litters like champs...I have prudish soft furs.

    Yep... feeders.

I end up with WAY too many adult rats when no one is eating then I downsize my breeder colony and suddenly I am checking every day hoping I may have missed some babes that may want to make the snakes fat. :)

I too am so excited that the winter fast is over; however, I don't have the rat over-population problem...frozen/thawed all the way! Thank goodness I live in the same town as Big Cheese :D

Seriously, the day you stop making me laugh...we are going to have to make sure you didn't get abducted by aliens and they sent down an imposter.

By the way, my girlfriend Krystal groans at me in her sleep when I read your posts and start laughing aloud at like 1 in the morning. Oops.

    Re: October-March Fast is Over
Them ASF's do not grow out fast you might want to find a feeder source that has appropriate sized for ya...

I did not have to experience the fast this year...

But hopefully next year I can...
