    Mexican Black King Snake escaped
Hello everyone, i took my girlfriend to a herp show a couple days ago and she purchased a mexican black king snake.

While we were gone for a night to dinner it seems the snake was able to finagle out of her cage and my girlfriend is a mess to say they least. She is been missing for maybe 20 hourse now and was just fed the day before.

I know for ball pythons they say to look in cool dark places ( shoes etc) i was wondering if there was a certain places "kings" look for in hides.

Probably the same type places, they'll just manage to fit in smaller places. I had my milksnake disappear from it's cage, and I was able to find mine in a corner of a closet. The scariest 30 minutes of my life, let me tell you! I hope you are as lucky as I was.

you can set up hide places near the cage as well as a water dish so it will have something to drink it might stay close to the cage but that isn't always the case. Aside from that look eveywhere. A friend of mine lost a corn snake in his duplex and the downstairts neighbor's cat found it, it is doing ok now.

Good luck finding him I had the same kind of snake escape on me and I eventually gave up hope of finding him then 11 months later I came home and he was sitting on top of the dvd player. He was a little skinnier than when he escaped but he was in good health just kindof nippy cause he hadnt been handeled in almost a year.

ya we absolutly tore the place apart and no sign of her =/. Was pretty sad but i kinda have a feeling like the poster above said that one day she will just be siting on the couch when we get home lol.

She ended up buying another one cause she was really upset. she got a nice black and white one! She looks very pretty!

I am hoping that is the case with me as well! We have had a cali king missing since October, but I am hoping that with the warmer weather she may turn up soon!

I would even take a nip or two to get her back safely! :)

I had a baby snow California kingsnake disappear once (in like 1995) after not fully closing a lid. She disappeared in either Sept. or Oct. and was missing for a few weeks so I gave up all hope. Well about 6 months later in March I get a call at work from my mom. She was downstairs washing cloths and her little yorkie kept barking at something in the corner. It was my little snow king. I rushed home to find her in very good shape, although a lot meaner. :snake:
