Jake is very nice BP I would make a few suggestion though.

1# Try filling up the enclosure a little more

2# Provide a second hide so Jake can thermoregulateand have a little more privacy since you are using a glass tank.

3# Provide a digital thermometer hygrometer as those dial devices are not accurate and could give you a reading that is way off.

4# I would remove the stone ornament, BP are very good at pushing things and tipping them over and if this falls on your BP it could severely injure him if not worse.

The ornament was the second hide. It's not ok for him? I'll get it out and another little wooden one like the first one.

What other things to fill it up?

Logs look nice but his hides should be something that he feels secure in. The logs are too open.

No it is heavy and really has the potential to be dangerous, providing 2 identical (tight) hides will allow your BP to thermoregulate.
If that rock was following on his head I am afraid this would have terrible consequences, a BP even that small can push this rock and make it fall.


As far as filling up fake plants that you can purchase for pretty cheap at walmart work very well.

The hides need to be tight around all sides, and low to the ground. When he enters the hide, his sides should be touching the inside of the hide. The top she hover less than an inch above his tallest part. The back of the hide shouldn't be open, there should be one entrance.

The astro-turf isn't an ideal substrate. It is breeding grounds for bacteria, which will cause scale rot, among other things. Switch him to Paper Towels, Newspaper, Aspen or Cypress.

As I said previously (in your last post), please get a digital thermometer/hydrometer. The analog (the one you have) is extremely inaccurate. There is no telling what your temperatures are. You can go to Wal-Mart and pick up an acurite for $10 or so. Place the probe on the hot side, and the unit on the cool side. They are extremely cheap, but vital. He can easily get burns from the Undertank Heater if you do not have an accurate thermometer.

As already said, I'd remove the clay rock structure. It looks like it is easily knocked over. I would also get him a larger water bowl. A regular dog bowl or clay dish is acceptable. The one you have is too small. He should be able to pretty much fit his entire body in it, but easily get out of it.

It's looking much better though! You are doing great. :) Not Everyone is born with the knowledge to keep Ball Pythons, it takes work.
