    ovulating or not?
So I've been pairing up since mid-Dec. And I THINK she's ovulating. She's been laying inverted a little bit recently, and when I woke up this morning, she had separated herself from her male, which they are NEVER apart when I pair them up. Tell me what you guys think.

I'd say it's a bit difficult to tell by the pictures since she's wedged herself between the glass and water bowl.

Doesn't look like an ovulation to me...If she did ovulate she won't have her pre-lay shed for about 15 - 17 days and the follicles would be fertilized - Not still building...Good luck...

The only thing that struck me as odd, is that she didn't eat the week that I took those pics, and then "developed" that huge localized swelling. During the time she developed that swelling, she separated herself from her mate who at the time was still in the same cage. I have been pairing since mid-Dec.To me, on paper it sounded like she was prego, but I've never bred snakes before so who knows?
