    Glass Tank set up
    Hi all

I have my BP in a glass tank, and I have the probes and plants in place with tape. I think I have read in one thread (unfortunately canīt find it now) that tape should not be used?

Could someone confirm if this is ok, or what should I use instead.

    Thanks!

Annette, any time you use something with an adhesive backing, like tape, you run the risk of the adhesive getting on your BP. It's very irritating to their skin, and can be really hard to get off.

In the case of stronger adhesives, your snake could actually tear its skin trying to get off the adhesive.

Yep, NO tape should ever be used inside a snake enclosure. Too much risk.

To secure the thermometer probe, set the hide on top of the wire. That holds it relatively in place. For the plants, use suction cups for young snakes and for older snakes, hook the plants over the tank/tub edge and tape OUTside.

    Hot glue works great also.

Hadnīt thought of it that way. Thanks Iīve already removed all the tapes and will be getting some suction caps for the plants.

Many thanks! Just wanted to say that this forum is great. Iīve learned loads and even though I donīt post much I go on daily to check all the new posts.
