So I cam across a 5' Male Irian Jaya Carpet Python for $ 220 i think its a little pricey any thoughts?

without pics, there's no telling... could be an awesome deal or a complete ripoff. they aren't like ball pythons, every one is different.

Yea its colors are a little duller than i expected but it does have some nice patterning

the other thing is that most IJ's change colors more so than a lot of pythons.... they have summer colors, winter colors, breeding colors, cold, hot, etc etc.
i don't own any, but from what i've seen and heard, the difference can be pretty remarkable.

I have a 6 yr old pure IJ pair (multiple proven) nice light coloration that im looking to get rid of if your in the market for IJ's .

I picked up some 08s for 35 bucks each. If you buy a yearling you can save a lot. 220 sounds like pricing for a "name-brand" IJ. Wait it out and you'll find better.

It all depends on how good of quality you want. And what I mean by this, do you want "pet quality" or "breeder quality"?
I have sold baby IJ's from $150 - $200.
