    Help with new Rack.
I'm building a new rack and it will hold 4 adult female sized tubs, 4 adult male tubs, and 8 hatchling tubs with females on bottom, males middle, and hatchlings top. I'm building it out of pvc and heat tape. What helix do you guys recommend? Also besides the helix what other supplies do you recommend? This is my first rack I'm currently using glass aquariums and they take up a lot of room.

Also if some of the tubs wont have snakes in them yet should I just set them up as if they had a snake in them and keep the heat tape running?

As far as I know...Helix only makes the DBS-1000 (for our type of application). If you meant what type of thermostat should you get, a helix or any of the herpstats are all good choices. A temp gun would be a good investment too.

I would say if you have entire rows without snakes, remove that row from the power so you are not paying to heat nothing. Just make sure you start heating them back up at least a few days before you expect anything to be in them.
