Feeding cost

Ok so I was looking back through my records for last month and I realized something I hadn't before. My pet collection, not my breeding stock, ate more than forty mice! This is only seven snake, and two of these are young, three are rat eaters only......

Just wondering how many mice do your pets go through in one month? I bet there are people that feed off alot more than I do.

The breeders went through 140 mice and 45 rats last month. Which is the most I've ever fed in one month. Guess it's a good thing I started breeding my own food last year lol.

We go through about 32 mice each feeding. We'd be in trouble if we didn't have our own mouse colony!

i wish i only went through that many. im at 51 snakes and i go through probally 49 rats and like 8 adult mice a week

you could send a few over here ;)

I go through 2 mice and one rat a week for three snakes. I get them all from RodentPro at the All Ohio show, so I get them cheap without paying for shipping

5 BPs going through 20 rats and 6 mice a month.

I'm going to the Birmingham show this weekend to fill my freezer with goodies lol. I've never bought the mice there but now I will just to save on feed etc.

Now see, how do you go about paying for something like that? I want to get into breeding as well, and this is something that I always wondered. If you got like 50 snakes, and they got eat weekly, how much is that in f/t rats a month?

Probably about $50. Rodentpro has small rats for .99 a piece right now, so I'm basing it off of that.

If youve got 50 snakes that all eat a small rat from Rodent Pro.

Small rat = 99 cents
50 snakes x 1 rat a week = 200 rats a month
200 rats x 99 cents each = 200 smackers a month
