    Burgundy albino ?
I was just reading about the burgundy albino unproven trait on Ralph Davis' sight...

    http://www.ralphdavisreptiles.com/ma...ndy_albino.asp

    She's absolutely gorgeous!

Makes me think... Is this anything to do with the burgundy morph? Has anyone crossed that with an albino? Or would that just look like a regular albino?

    Morph: Burgundy Albino
    Status: Unproven
    When: ?
By Whom: Dave and Tracy Barker (VPI)

The female pictured has proven to be a very stubborn wild caught African Import. VPI is still working on getting her to breed and produce offspring. As of 2005 I do not think that this female has produced eggs. Good Luck VPI...........she is GORGEOUS!!

yet wasnt it awhile back on the infamous reptile radio that they spoke out against imports which was also brought up in this thread http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...barker+gravids

If it werent for imports, you wouldnt have any ball pythons today.

If it werent for imports, you wouldnt half half the morphs you have today.

If it werent for imports, nearly all of the captive population of pets, big and small, would not be here today.

Is being against imports selective, a kind of... If i dont see it, it dosnt exist? Or, if i dont see it, i dont care? Or maybe, As long as im not directly helping out, its okay? sort of thing?

    Im having trouble understanding....

Do i think imports of ball pythons need to slow down now? Sure.... but im not against them.

No, the toffee is its own morph. Hets are out, the Urban python is hoping for the morp to prove out simple recessive this next breeding season.
The Burgundy, Toffee, and i think candy are all similar animals that may be the same allele.
