acu-rite thermometer/hygrometer

Has anyone noticed Walmart not carrying them anymore? At least the walmarts by me.. both of mine broke and I've been searching to find them so I can replace them.. I can't find them anywhere. Does anybody have a link from another source or recommend a different brand? thanx in advance.

I'll check at my local WalMart for you, Doris. I have seen a very similar product under different brand names at both Lowe's and Home Depot (about the same price or slightly more expensive).

If all else fails try checking out the website for Chaney Instruments, the folks that make the Acu-Rite.

I just bought two from my wal-mart in northeastern IL.

lowes in canada carrries them.i saw them three days ago

We had a hard time finding them here and was told that they are discontinued. They are going wireless now.

had a hard time finding mine too. What i noticed though is they make the same type in a darker color, so it looks totally different untill you look closley.

thanx Jo.. I'll check out that link you sent me. hey Mel, thanx. I'll keep you in mind if I can't find it.. just wouldn't want you to be in need of them if one of yours breaks. See, I don't even see anything similar to the original at either of the walmarts by me. this is so frustrating.

They are still being sold at the walmart near me. Maybe its a lack of demand in your neck of the woods or they might be out of stock. I have placed a rain check on items that were sold out in the past. This might be an option for you as well. Ping customer service. Hope it helps :)

You also should check Target. They have a similar brand(can't remember off the top of my head) which the same in/on/hygro digitalness we all need. It looks prettier too. ^_^
