    Increased appetite?
Ok so I know a female after being bred will eventually go off feed but what about an increased appetite? I have my big girl I have bred three times now and she is huge but not ovulating its gotten to the point where I cant feed any of my snakes without her striking at the screen lid I am afraid to be over feeding but I do try to feed my snakes when they show signs of hunger

keep trying to feed her just cause you have bread does not mean she is gravid keep offering her meals if she eats she eats if she doesnt then she doesnt!!

Excuse me?? 7 med rats in 2 weeks? Are you sure it's a ball python??

    What does she weigh?

1 med rat per week is plenty for the largest ball pythons.

you should stick to a certain feeding scedule, if you want to follow mine its . . .

babies/yearlings: offer food every 5-7 days
over 1 year old: offer food every 7-10 days

if they eat they eat if they dont then i offer them food the next scheduled time for them.

also before every offering of food i weigh them to keep track of growth rate and make sure they are not losing weight

Yea Its easier to keep track of that way Like I said I try to feed if they seem hungry and she certainly never turns down food as far as weight goes I dont know I dont have a scale I suppose I could use a bathroom scale but if i had to guess id say she between 5-7 lbs I know its big gimmie a min and ill tell you what the scale says

    1 pound = 453 grams

so if she is 5-7 pounds she is around 2238 - 3175 grams

according to the scale she is right at 6.5 lbs which is right at 3192 grams if my math is right I know its big but she has never turned down a meal her size suggests she is more like a superball than anything else but she doesnt have the super ball markings i dont have a lot of history on her i got her as a trade from someone cause she bit them
