Re: update!!!!
Respiratory infections are DEFINATELY contagious. It's bacteria, and sometimes viral, so YES, CONTAGIOUS.
In the very few that I have had get sick, they go into a completely different room and I wipe myself down with alcohol gel and chlorhexidine(or parv-o-way if I have it) after I get done with them.

Re: update!!!!
Sorry she has a slight RI, Jeff, but you certainly did the right thing in seeking vet advise and getting her treatment. Quarantining any ill animal from your collection is a smart thing to do.

Re: update!!!!
It is always good to have a vet check when there is any question. Sorry about the RI. Make sure she is completely well before you re intruduce her to the collection. Make sure to clean her old enclosure as best as you possibly can bleach or anything that can kill almost all bacteria. You can have a RI reoccur if you don't do this. Also if she was in a tub pull the tub from the room your collection is in. The bacteria or virus is still in that tub and can still spread. At least that is what our vet had told us.
