    Picture thief
Dont you love it when someone steals your picture and uses it in their for sale add. I asked the vendor to stop using the picture and I reported it to kingsnake and nothing seems to work. I am not sure why kingsnake allows this when they have removed my adds in the past for putting "trades considered" in my add even though nearly every add says that.

Here is the link to my snow ball picture I posted on some forums being used by a guy to sell his snake.

sorry that your having this kind of trouble, but to protect yourself in the future, watermark your photos before you post them ANYWHERE. Best way to keep your property as yours. I hope you can get this issue resolved soon. Good luck.

Well, there is SOME attempt at a disclaimer...

    Quote:

the picture is just an example of a snow produced by another breeder.
but I would have done two things:
    1. ask you first
    2. put YOUR name as the photographer

However, Kingsnake might have some kind of rule that disallows him to mention any other breeder for any reason. Maybe he tried? and Maybe kingnsake pulled his ad for putting your name?

Had that happened to me then I just wouldn't post the picture. Good luck getting it taken down.

I had informed kingsnake and they made me prove it was not his pic and then they said the issue was resolved but 5 days latter the add was back. Again I reported it and e-mailed phil and asked him to stop using it. My thread on kingsnake about this was deleted as well go figure. I guess I will have to water mark from now on. What ever happened to if it was not yours you did not use it unless you had permission?

    Thanks Ryan Young

I have to agree on watermarking.

At least he doesn't claim the snake is his though, still stealing but he's not being as dishonest as he could be.

I watermarked this with Gimp. Free open source software that comes with Ubuntu.

It sucks when people outright steal pics...

...but, I have to say, as easy as it is to add watermarks to images,... just watermark it!!!
