    Big problem
Ok so my g/f is freaking out on me.

It was feeding time and i went to my pet store and they are out of feeder rats. SO i pick up a gerbil for my male and a Large mouse for my female. So my g/f comes home just as im about to feed him. She takes one look at the cute little gerbil and has a damn fit. Now im stuck with a rat and a gerbil. The gerbil is running around my apartment in one of those annyoing ball things and the rat in living it up in a tank on top of my book shelf. What in the world...am i going to do? has anyone else been through this with their b/f or g/f

Umm, try F/T. I can't see that in a tank for too long?? ;) You won't run out either.

The thing about peoples momentary attachment is that they get over it. You're cat that you've had a week gets hit by a car. Sure you feel bad but you'll be okay. Just wait for her to leave and feed. At my house the last thing I want are rodents pooing in the tanks and stuff. IMO, they are nasty creatures.

My ASF rats are cuter than a gerbil!

And yes, if this girlfriend is the forever type, then you just have to get used to the annoying rolling balls... the good thing is they don't live too long - 2 years tops. :) And, unless you are willing to get the nasty treatment, Never Never Ever feed off the gerbil. Trust me, it is much easier to live with the annoying gerbil for 2 years than a girlfriend who will bring up the "gerbil incident" every chance she gets for the next 10 years!

You own a snake. It will continue to eat rodents. How many rodents is she going to force you to keep? How long will the snake live if every meal gets turned into a pet? lol... Tell her that you paid for them, they belong to you and thus they belong in your snake's belly. :D

What funny is every time I buy a live feeder, especially a rat pup, I'm like "Oh my god! It's so cute! look at it's little spots, aww it's so adorable. Open the lid on the snake's tank for me, will you?" lol
