Noob post - Anyone on here ship f/t ASFs and if not where is the best place to buy?
My girl is taking full size mice now. I need to get a scale(getting one at wal-mart sunday) but when is it a good time to switch over to full size ASFs and can an adult female get a good meal from a single ASF or will I need to go to regular rats? I'd rather not go through the trouble of switching to rats but obviously I will if I have to.

Sorry for the noob question and this probably gets asked alot. Also if this is the wrong forum please move it. I just figured I'd post here because there are enough people who feed and breed ASFs to answer me accurately.

    Thanks so much.

All depends on the snake. I have some adult females that only eat one a week, I have others that eat as many as 3.

Unless you plan on getting more snakes and breeding your own feeders, you best bet is to just switch it over to normal rats. They are much easier to find, and cheaper.

Most of us that feed ASF's do so because we breed our own rodents, and they don't smell as bad, and are easier to breed then normal rats. They also don't grow to be too big for an adult BP.

Ok cool. I can get normal rats at the chain store or I can just order a bag online. I do intend to breed snakes one day on the side to supplement my income and I really enjoy these animals as well so I'll likely need to breed feeders too. I guess it is normal rats until if/when that happens. Next up is to get her weight and then see when she's going to be too big for mice...
