The G-1 is a nice phone if you have the data plan with it, its where it really shines. Its a business enabler equally suited for personal use.

Because of my IT background I elected not to get this phone for several reasons (with tmobile).

    1. Not a big fan of a single point of failure (touch screen). You can only do so much with the built in qwerty pad. :colbert:

    2. Not a big fan of having my data sitting out on googles bananna servers on the internet. Put it like this, your data is colocated if you use the data services. :colbert:

    3. The form factor could have been a bit more friendly. ;)

    4. I know a few who have picked this phone up and after a month or so, swapped out the sim into their other cells. :rage:

Overall, the phone is OK, but falls short as a PIM when managing "my" data. :(

Understood, I'm not using it for buisness just to text and play with, which it is great for. Just like any phone though I guess it just depends on what your using it for.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I learned some time ago if I really need something, spend some time researching it. I did just that and now I'm very happy with the crapberry flip.

My neighbor is still pressing me to go and get an iPhone, but I just can't do it. It's really not for me.:weirdface

I really like the free application feature of the G-1. That is kind of cool for a cell these days.:)
